1. About YosiBuy & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how YosiBuy (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information across yosibuy.in and our mobile applications.
Our platform covers three core services:
Groceries, farm-fresh produce, mountain honey, hill spices, food, meat & fish, fashion, electronics, and essentials.
Homestays, resorts, car/bike rentals, trekking packages, and local technician services.
Property, agricultural land, plantation listings, and direct buyer-owner inquiries.
By using our Platforms, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Use under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
2. Information We Collect
- Name, phone number, email address, delivery addresses.
- Order details, payment receipts, and saved items.
- Stay dates, guest count, and driving license (for vehicle rentals only).
- Property inquiry messages and support requests.
- Shop/business name, address, and contact details.
- GSTIN, PAN, and FSSAI license (for food/spices/grocery sellers).
- Bank account or UPI ID for payout settlements.
- Catalog images, pricing, and property documents.
- Name, phone number, and profile photograph.
- Driving license, Vehicle RC, PAN, and Aadhaar (as per law).
- Bank/UPI details for earnings and incentives.
- Shift attendance, completed orders, and customer ratings.
- Employee ID, authorized role credentials.
- System activity and administrative security audit logs.
3. Mobile Number & OTP Verification
- We use your mobile number to send secure One-Time Passwords (OTPs) for quick authentication.
- SMS codes are sent via licensed third-party telecom SMS gateways.
- Never share your OTP with anyone. YosiBuy staff will never ask for your OTP.
4. App Permissions & Services
- Camera & Photos: Used when uploading product/property pictures, review photos, or proof of delivery.
- GPS Location: Used to show nearby stores, set accurate delivery addresses, and show live order tracking.
- Push Notifications (FCM): Delivers live order status, delivery alerts, and booking reminders via Firebase.
- Maps: Uses Google Maps for address search and driver navigation.
- Payments (PCI-DSS): Processed securely via RBI-authorized, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways, UPI, and bank partners. We never store your credit or debit card numbers on our servers.
5. Location & Background Tracking
For Customers: We access your location only while the app is open (foreground) to locate nearby stores and set delivery addresses.
For Delivery Partners:
The driver app tracks real-time location in the background strictly during active duty shifts to assign nearby pickups and calculate accurate travel earnings.
Background tracking automatically stops as soon as the driver toggles “Offline” or logs out.
6. How We Use & Share Information
We use your data only to deliver your orders, connect you with vendors/homestays, process bookings, provide customer support, and comply with tax laws.
We share necessary details only with:
- Vendors & Homestay Hosts: Order items, booking dates, or buyer contact numbers to fulfill your requests.
- Delivery Drivers: Delivery address, recipient name, landmark, and masked phone number to complete delivery.
- Legal Authorities: Only when strictly required by lawful court orders or governmental directives under Indian law.
7. Data Storage, Retention & Security
- Secure Cloud Storage: Data is securely hosted on encrypted cloud servers located in India in full compliance with applicable Indian data protection laws.
- Retention: Account data is retained while your account is active. Tax and order invoices are retained for statutory periods (up to 8 years as required by Indian tax law).
- Security: Encrypted via HTTPS / TLS 1.3 with restricted role-based employee access.
8. Your Rights & Account Deletion (DPDP Act, 2023)
Under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to view, correct, nominate, or delete your personal data.
You can delete your account directly inside the mobile app settings or by writing to support@yosibuy.in.
Account deletion requests are verified and processed within 5 business days.
9. Children's Privacy
YosiBuy services are intended for users aged 18 and above (or accessed under parent/guardian supervision). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
